Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: July 7, 2026
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Tally Accounting Software Limited, a company registered in England & Wales with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU (“Tally,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By creating an account or using Tally you agree to them. Read them; they're short.
01Who we are
Tally is a software product that helps you track the profitability of your affiliate campaigns, funnels and side hustles. The service is provided through the website at tally.ac and any subdomains we operate.
02Your account
You need an account to use most of Tally. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Open a support ticket right away if you think your account has been compromised.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to use Tally. One person, one account — don't share logins.
03Plans, payments, refunds
Tally offers paid plans — monthly, yearly, and a one-time lifetime purchase. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial; we ask for a card up front, but you won't be charged until day 8 and you can cancel any time before then from Settings without paying a cent. Prices are shown at checkout and may change; if we change the price of a plan you're already on, we'll tell you in advance and the change will only take effect on your next renewal.
Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges — access continues to the end of the paid period you already paid for. Outside the trial and the lifetime refund window described below, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, email us within 14 days and we'll make it right.
About the lifetime plan. The "lifetime" plan is a one-time payment for continued access to Tally for as long as we operate Tally as a live service — it is the lifetime of the product, not of you personally, and it is not a perpetual or irrevocable licence. It comes with a 7-day no-quibble refund: email us within that window and we'll refund you in full. After that window, the lifetime plan is non-refundable except (a) where required by law, or (b) under the wind-down policy in Section 8 if we discontinue Tally. The lifetime plan covers the core Tally product and its normal evolution; it does not guarantee any specific feature, integration, price point, or performance level, and it does not entitle you to future separate products we may launch under a different brand or paid tier. Lifetime access is tied to your account and is not transferable, resellable, or assignable without our written consent.
04Your content
You own the data you put into Tally — spend, income, notes, spaces, everything. We only use it to run the product for you (compute totals, render recaps, send you the emails you asked for, and keep the lights on). We don't sell it, we don't train models on it, and we don't share it with third parties except as described in our Privacy Policy.
You grant us a limited licence to store and process your content for the purpose of providing Tally. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
05Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Tally for anything illegal, fraudulent or abusive.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape or resell the service, or try to break its security or rate limits.
- Upload malware or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Use Tally to send unsolicited messages or to impersonate anyone.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. Where possible we'll warn you first.
06Service changes and availability
We ship changes to Tally constantly. Features may be added, removed or changed. We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or bug-free. Scheduled maintenance and incidents happen; we'll do our best to communicate them.
07Third-party services
Tally uses trusted vendors to run — for example Stripe for payments, a Supabase-backed database for storage, and a transactional email provider. Your use of Tally is also subject to their terms where relevant.
08Termination and discontinuation
You can delete your account any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate your account if you seriously breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. On termination your paid features stop and, after a short grace period, your data is deleted.
Wind-down policy. If we decide to discontinue Tally (in whole or in a way that materially removes the core product), we'll do our best to handle it ethically:
- We'll give reasonable advance notice by email to the address on your account — we target at least 30 days where circumstances allow.
- We'll keep data export available during the notice period so you can take your entries, spaces and recaps with you.
- For monthly and yearly plans, we'll stop future renewals and, where we retain funds for a paid period you cannot use because of the shutdown, refund the unused portion on a pro-rata basis.
- For the lifetime plan, we'll offer a pro-rata refund of the price you actually paid based on a reference service life of 36 months from your purchase date. Example: if we wind down 12 months after your purchase, we'll refund up to 24/36 of what you paid. After 36 months from purchase, the lifetime plan is considered fully delivered and no refund is owed on wind-down.
Refund cap and insolvency. Wind-down refunds are paid out of Tally's available funds at the time and are made in the order claims are received. If Tally is insolvent, in administration, or otherwise unable to pay in full, refunds may be reduced pro-rata across affected users or limited to the funds legally available for distribution. In no case will Tally, its owners, directors or employees be personally liable for wind-down refunds beyond the company's own assets, except where personal liability cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in this Section removes rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country.
09Disclaimers
Tally is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Nothing in Tally is financial, legal or tax advice — you're the one running your business. We do our best to keep numbers accurate but you're responsible for verifying anything that matters.
10Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tally's total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €100, whichever is greater. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data, missed opportunities). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If the changes are material we'll notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use Tally after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
12Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of England & Wales, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live give you the right to sue locally.
